My Story
I was born on September 24, 1998 in Elgin, Illinois. My mother was 18 when I was born and my father had to provide for us as he was our only form of income at the time. My mother walked across the graduation stage while she was still pregnant with me, after many doubted her, and she tried her best to continue her studies after I was born. She managed to get her Associate's Degree, but ultimately stopped there because she realized that she had to start working in order to provide for me.

My mother and my family have been a big part of my motivation to excel in my studies and in my professional career. I have also tried my hardest to continue her academic dreams in my life. My goal is to thrive in my academic life and in the marketing world when I begin to pursue my career. I also want to be successful in order to be my little sister's role model so she can aspire to be like me. Another motivating factor is my father because he works hard every day to provide for me and my family and I want to work as hard as him to be able to repay him for the sacrifices he made for our family.

I am currently a senior at Aurora University, working to receive my Bachelor's Degree in Marketing. My interests in marketing consist of social media, advertising, and film. I am only one semester away from graduation and have learned so much in the process. I was recently a marketing intern at Fox Valley Habitat For Humanity where I got to create owned content such as pictures, videos, and written articles. I got a great grasp of what the marketing field is like and I am eager to begin my journey to my marketing career.
